What is Jog-A-Thon?
The Jog-A-Thon is an annual fundraising event put on at each Zionsville Elementary school. This event was created to reduce the number of fundraisers needed to support our students and school staff throughout the year. It is the only fundraiser where we ask students to directly participate and one of only TWO fundraising events throughout the year.
The Jog-A-Thon takes place on a quarter-mile course in the back parking lot of Boone Meadow Elementary, and students will be given time to jog (or walk) as many laps as they can. All students, grades PreK-4, will participate throughout the day at different times. They will be provided a Jog-A-Thon t-shirt to wear that day and encouraged to participate in the annual theme.

Fundraising
Fundraising Tips
To maximize your donations, consider the following fundraising ideas:
- Ask for digital donations through GiveButter to easily share your fundraiser with friends and family.
- Ask if your company has a corporate matching program. You could get your donation doubled! (Email us if you need a receipt.)
- Request lap pledges from friends and family to be turned in after Jog-A-Thon - even $1 per lap will add up!
- Get your students to share their "why" - this is the only BME fundraiser where students are asked to raise money. All donations enhance your child's school experience!
Ways to Donate
All students can participate in Jog-A-Thon by fundraising before the event. There are three ways to collect donations:
- Digital donations through GiveButter (see below for details)
- Cash or check, turned in to their teacher*
- Lap pledges to be turned in after the student completes the event.* (For example, Grandpa pledges $5 per lap that his favorite student completes. The student completes 10 laps, resulting in a $50 donation to be collected after the event.)
*Make sure your student's name and their teacher's name are on all donations brought to the school, so they get the credit! All pledged donations are due on Tues. Oct. 7
With GiveButter, you can create a link to your student's personalized fundraising page. This allows your student to have a fun, easy, and electronic way to raise funds for Jog-A-Thon.
How to sign up for GiveButter:
- Go to https://givebutter.com/BMEJAT2025
- Register your child(ren), using their name(s) with your email address, so you can monitor and update their fundraising page(s).
- If you have more than one child, you can use the same email address for each child by adding a +1 before the @ sign in your email address.
- For example, if you have three kiddos and your email address is eagle@bme.com, you can register your second kiddo with eagle+1@bme.com, and your third kiddo with eagle+2@bme.com.
- Click on "Join an Existing Team"
- From the drop down menu, select your child's teacher.
- Then, share the link to your child's personal fundraising page with family and friends!

You are welcome to join us to cheer on your favorite runner! Bring signs and yell loud in the designated cheering section in the back parking lot of the school. Please make your way AROUND the OUTSIDE of the school to find the designated cheering area!
