PTO Programs

Adopt Team Meadow

During the holiday season, we know everyone wants to give gifts to all the grown-ups in our kids' lives who are making a difference - our incredible teachers, support staff, bus drivers, counselors, and leaders at BME. Over the last several years, BME PTO has developed a program called "Adopt Team Meadow" where one person can "adopt" a staff member at BME, then collect donations from other parents to purchase gifts for that someone! We call this person the "gift coordinator."

Each year, you can participate in ATM by becoming a gift coordinator OR by donating money to gift coordinators. This is a way for all of us to donate *small* amounts to multiple BME team members - like your students' teachers, specials teachers, bus drivers, Nurse Amy and even Principal Hundley! Be on the look-out every year in mid-November to receive updates on Adopt Team Meadow!

Book FAirs

The PTO hosts two book fairs each year through the company Literati. The PTO receives a portion of the funds from each book fair and uses these proceeds to infuse new books, furniture and other items into the school.

  • Fall Book Fair: November 17-21, 2025
  • Spring Book Fair: March 16-20, 2026

Giving Tree

In 2022, the PTO created an area where teachers and staff can grab extra supplies when they need them for their students. The area has items like tissues, water, juice, healthy snacks and markers.

Student-Led Grants

The PTO developed a new program for the 2023-2024 school year in which students in 3rd and 4th grades presented an idea to improve the school to be funded through a PTO grant. The PTO has since been able to host this program annually to sponsor several projects to enhance BME for our students!

Teacher Grants

An extension on the Student-Led Grant program, the PTO introduced a Teacher Grant opportunity for the 2024-2025 school year. The program enables the PTO to support teachers in meaningful ways by providing needed materials and enrichment items. 2025 Grants were fulfilled for both individual teacher requests and group requests to share across a grade level. Examples of 2025 grants included portable lap desks, jump ropes, gross motor items (parachute, scooters, liquid floor tiles), find motor skill tools (hammer set, sensory table), school therapist office refresh and Kindergarten decodable books.
